The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Kwara State Command, is among the agencies to be invited to grace the occasion of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration which will be organised by the Kwara State government in Ilorin, the state capital.
The state Commissioner for Social Development, Hajia Mariam Nnafatima Imam PhD, disclosed the invitation during a courtesy visit of the ministry’s team to the command recently in Ilorin.
The commissioner said the command’s invitation to the event is to lend some prestige to the event, being one of the highly respected government’s agencies in the country.
She explained that the government would continue to engage with key stakeholders as the state prepares for the annual commemoration, promising to make the event a memorable one.
While responding to the invitation, the Comptroller of NCS, Kwara State Command, Comptroller Faith Mathew Ojeifo , expressed the command’s readiness to be part of the event to ensure a well-organised and memorable ceremony.
He commended the proactiveness of Governor AbdulRazaq-led administration, stating the importance of sustained partnership in the planning of state’s activities for the remembrance of great heroes.
