KWSG Hands Over Site for Construction of Fence at Rehabilitation Centre

 

The Kwara State Government has handed over the site for the construction of fence measuring 1584 linear metres at the Amoyo Rehabilitation Centre to the contractor in order to define its boundary at the area.

While handing over the project’s documents to the contractor, Muluda Nigeria Limited, the Commissioner for Social Development, Hajia Mariam Nnafatima Imam, PhD, stated that the exercise marked the commencement of work on the fence construction, adding that it was a symbol of an agreement reached between the state government and the contractor.

Hajia Imam, who was represented by the Director, Social Welfare of the Ministry, Elder James Kayode David, disclosed that the fence construction is part of the state government’s efforts to prevent unauthorized access to the centre, encroachment on the space and to provide higher level of security at the rehabilitation centre.

She revealed that the contractor is given four months to complete the project, in line with the agreed timeline with the contractor, while urging the contractor to execute the construction with quality materials to justify the confidence the state government has in them.

The Site Engineer for the construction company, Engr. Samson Oyeleke, expressed gratitude to the state government for the opportunity given to the company and the confidence reposed in the workers, promising to carry out the project according to plan and in line with high standards.
