In a heartfelt gesture to provide aid for the family, the Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Social Development, has donated infant formula and diapers to a month-old set of triplets whose mother died few days after their birth in Ilorin.
Presenting the items to the caregivers at Bawa, Sabo-Line, the family house of the babies, the Commissioner for Social Development, Hajia Mariam Nnafatima Imam, PhD, said the donation was to bring relief to the family and caregivers of the triplets.
The Commissioner disclosed that this gesture reflects the state government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable people and promoting acts of kindness and generosity, stressing that the state government is passionate about the welfare of the citizens and that the Ministry will not renege on its mandate of assisting the less privileged in the state.
Hajia Imam emphasised the Ministry’s deep passion for philanthropy and its dedication to helping the less privileged, appealing to the caregivers to ensure the set of triplets under their care are taken for their scheduled immunisations to keep them up to date on all vaccines.
Responding on behalf of the family, the Mogaji of Bawa Compound, Alhaji Hassan Bawa, expressed the family’s profound gratitude and that of the entire compound, appreciating the state government for its compassion and concern for the plight of the family.
Alhaji Bawa thanked the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for being a blessing to the people of the state.
